You wouldn’t have thought Bored of the Rings was the sort of thing that could have any sort of spin-off or continuation beyond the main story line. That’s why the BBC turned down my script. In all honesty, they were right – as proven in the Christmas special here. That’s a bumpy ride. Also find my ‘Lord of the Rings’ test that I used to try and work out how the music would work in the remastered episodes and 3&4. And a trailer.

I remember writing this segment with the Fellowship of the Ring on the TV next to me. I remember mixing it with the film as reference and the music ringing down my ears. So much did I want the feel of this episode (And the following episode, that was never made) to work.
It was painful, especially with the cast issues and time constraints that bogged episode 5 into submission.

Bored of the Rings Episode 3 was better. Better production, better acting. it was the first original play that had Jamie and Andrea in the roles of Bimbo and Jerry respectively and it was the first play I mixed using Adobe Audition.

Bored of the rings 2 wasn’t exactly the best thing I ever made, nor was it the worst. It was a labour of love, a necessity. Still, an entertaining necessity.
